The mainstays for sound spiritual theology over the last 100 years have always been Tanquerey and Garrigou- Lagrange. And I highly recommend them. But Fr Auman has distilled what they’ve taught down to a more digestible size and translates them into easier to comprehend language for those who are somewhat new to this area of theology.
