PRAYER: O good and merciful Jesus Christ, Who offered Himself as a sacrificial lamb for the salvation of mankind, we console You. In humility You surrendered to the Jewish soldiers who dragged You like a criminal, mercilessly to the merciless, O good God, to be judged by man. We console You, O Agonizing Jesus Christ, for all these insults received in the world’s courts. We console You for all the cruel torments You suffered from Your people. May You be adored forever.
