A Meditation for the Feast of the Flight into Egypt

N.B. February 17th was listed as the Mass of the Flight of Our Lord Jesus Christ into Egypt as a Mass for particular places in pre-1962 Missals. It is remembered presently in the Novena to Our Lady of Sorrows (Day 2), Akathist Hymn to the Theotokos (Sixth Chant), and is an important minor feast in the Coptic Church as the Feast of the Entrance into Egypt.
